With the dog days of summer fully upon us, it’s time to make the most out of the stunning – and historic – parks and green spaces that surround us here in the Greater Boston area. Join Meg Muckenhoupt, author of  Boston’s Gardens & Green Spaces, for her thought-provoking, informative talk at 7:oo PM on Monday, August 6 at the Crane Library in Quincy.

Meg will bring us back through history to understand why we have parks in the first place, how they have changed over time, and how new parks are created today. From the suburban wilderness and urban wilds to the Emerald Necklace and newly created Big Dig parks, Meg will change the way you look at the green world around you.

If you already have a copy of Boston’s Gardens & Green Spaces, bring it along for Meg to sign! If you don’t already own it, plan to pick up this fascinating and helpful book at the event. It might just make the last weeks of summer that much  more interesting!
