Summer may be winding down (nooo!), but the Boston Harbor Island Alliance and the Boston Harbor Islands National Park continue to put together great summer programming and activities!

Join them this Saturday at the Hingham Shipyard Marina for a Block Party and free concert featuring popular kids music by Ben Rudnick & Friends. The event kicks off at 10:30 a.m. and will include a variety of fun kids activities. A park ranger will also be on hand to answer questions about the Islands. This is the perfect family event for outdoor enthusiasts and island lovers alike.

While you’re there, be sure to welcome Gus the Gull, the new mascot for the Island Alliance! His first act as official mascot is to introduce the new Kids Membership Program. Enroll your children for just $34 each and they’ll receive great benefits, such as a special newsletters from Gus himself. Best of all, their membership will help preserve and protect one of Boston’s greatest natural resources.
