To celebrate the launch (and early success!) of our newest book, The Coastal Table by Karen J. Covey, we invited guests to Westport Rivers Winery on Thursday, August 22nd for a night of food, fun, and delicious local wine.
The sprawling vineyard and setting sun provided the perfect backdrop for the event, where attendees sipped on the winery’s fantastic Pinot Blanc and Famer’s Fizz while looking out over the rows of vines. Smoke & Pickles served up incredible local food, including various tangy pickles (featuring the pickled corn circles from The Coastal Table), smoked New Bedford scallops, creamy cheese from Shy Brothers Farm, and native bluefish smoked on site. With such great food, excellent wine and a gorgeous setting, it was the perfect way to launch The Coastal Table into the world!
Karen signed books and chatted with guests, including representatives from Edible South Shore, Whole Foods, Barnes & Noble, Persimmon Restaurant, Westwinds Bookshop, and many friends and family members.
