Union Park Press is a premier publisher of books about the arts, history, and culture of Boston and New England. We’re excited to kick off the new year with a ton of great author events featuring Christopher Klein, who penned of UPP’s first book, Discovering the Boston Harbor Islands. At his events, Chris will share the “stranger than fiction” history of the 34 Boston Harbor Islands. Audiences will hear tales of ghosts, shipwrecks, prisoners of war, and Revolutionary War battles that took place here.
If you haven’t heard one of Chris’ talks yet, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to in the coming months! Here are some of Chris’ upcoming events:
- Wednesday, January 25th at 7 pm at the Hopkinton Public Library. This event is open to the public.
- Wednesday, February 29th at 1 pm at the Hingham Senior Center. This event is open to registered members of the Hingham Department of Elder Services’ Lifelong Learning Program and the fee is $5.00.
- March 28th at 5:30 pm at the Old South Meeting House in coordination with the Boston Preservation Alliance. This event is free for members of both organizations. The fee is $10 for non-members.
Christopher Klein is also author of The Die-Hard Sports Fan’s Guide to Boston, and has had articles featured in The Boston Globe, New England Travel, National Geographic Traveler, American Heritage, and on ESPN.com.
Don’t forget to bring copies of Chris’ books so he can sign them. Don’t own a copy yet? No worries—they’ll be for sale at each of these events. We look forward to seeing you there!
