Christopher Klein, author of Discovering the Boston Harbor Islands, will share the “stranger than fiction” history of the 34 islands at the Hingham Senior Center on February 29th at 1 p.m. Audiences will hear tales of ghosts, shipwrecks, prisoners of war, and Revolutionary War battles that took place here. If you haven’t heard one of Chris’ talks yet, this is the perfect opportunity!

Chris is also author of The Die-Hard Sports Fan’s Guide to Boston, and has had articles featured in The Boston Globe, New England Travel, National Geographic Traveler, American Heritage, and on ESPN.com. His talk is part of the Hingham Department of Elder Services’ Lifelong Learning Program and is open to registered members of the program. The fee is $5.00, and participants are encouraged to bring lunch. For more information about the program and registration, check out this article from the Patriot Ledger.

Don’t forget to bring copies of Chris’ books so he can sign them. Don’t own a copy yet? No worries—they’ll be on sale at the event. We look forward to seeing you there!
