THE FRONT DOOR PROJECT BOOK DEAL ANNOUNCED
Local author to showcase New England architecture in upcoming book
Cohen, a lifelong Connecticut resident, is a passionate advocate for historic preservation. What began as a quiet, personal photography hobby has turned into a much larger endeavor with The Front Door Project, where she shares her appreciation of New England’s architectural history. Through social media, Cohen has found a like-minded and engaged community of history and house lovers across the world.
The book, which will feature Cohen’s artful images of New England’s front doors and surrounding facades, will also include history and anecdotes about the region’s unique architectural details.
“The front door is the welcoming point of the home and in many cases represents the spirit and personality of those who live inside,” said Cohen. “Whether it’s subtle and simple, bold and colorful, or sweet and charming, the front door is the key to establishing a home’s style and curb appeal.”
The project will take Cohen across quintessential New England to places like Kennebunkport, ME; Woodstock, VT; Providence, RI; Concord, MA; and Litchfield, CT, as well as to the back roads and tiny towns along the way.
“Deb’s style marries design, history, and New England architecture in an utterly charming manner,” said Nicole Vecchiotti, Publisher of Union Park Press. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring that passion to the printed page.”
The book is slated for a Fall 2018 release.
